I'm not the best person to put a comment on the reason speech by Obama, but, yo Mr Obama, why shud u distract the whole world away from your country's mistake and lack of regulations.
Malaysia's territory of Labuan is one of the offshore centres that being balcklisted by G20 nations. Something needs to be mention here, how they define a cooperative offshore centre or otherwise. Is the definition means that those centres, of which, comply with developed nations regulations (which clearly, not that great considering with the mess that they've started). Or they just dont want other nations to have their own off shore financial centres.
Remember, these developed nations have been having their own off shore centres for decades, and these centres had helped them to reach their developed status in term of economic development. But yes, I guess, hypocrites will always remain hypocrites, and worst, they hate when people start getting better in term of wealth protection and nation developments.
Just see how they envy ADB's current reserve amount.......and they afraid that one day, IMF and World Bank might lose credibility amid the rise of Sovereign Wealth Funds and ADB.....hence, only the future can tell us and lets hope for the best.
