My new used car.....

Sabtu 20 Jun 2009
  1. 9.30am- abis mandi, siap2 nak gi shopping grocerieswife dah ready lebih awal, biasalah aku, bangun2 on TV, on pc, baca paper layan ps3 seround dua, bekfast skit, baru mandi... hehhehehe.
  2. 9.45 am-gi tampal sticker insurance kat kereta kecik aku, sini kena tampal plak insurance punya stickers, wajib.
  3. 9.50am- start engine, bagi panas skit, pastu bertolak ke checkers (kira cam tesco/giant kat mesia). Dah ada kereta nih panjang skit langkah.

  4. Beli lah itu ini, dah lama tak pegi pasar besar, selalu gi pasar2 kecik je kat sini, sbb takde kereta, jauh, kena naik bus.

  5. Alhamdulillah, berjaya juga first trip ke pasaraya dgn kereta nih. Tgklah gambar kat bawah, kereta kecik jer, nak beli yg besar tak mampu satu hal, lagipun aku tak rasa practical untuk aku ngan wife pakai kereta besar.

Gambar kereta dari belakang, aku tgh panaskan engine. Wife yg amik gambar.

Checkers dari tempat park kereta, tulisan nampak sayup.

Tepi laut, kelihatan apartments yg menghadap laut. Ginilah perkampungan kecik tempat aku menetap, sebelum perjalanan lain dia masa depan insya Allah.

Has the centre of ecnomics powerhouse shifted??

10 years ago, when people starts talking the rise of the old power of China, everyone will shrugged with this possibility. Closed econ compounded with communist at the helm of the country, who might have thought they will in fact be the financier, of which, the western economy relying on as of today.

Mr Soros in his speech last year mentioned this century belongs to Asia. But wait folks, we should indeed play our role to make this a reality. Cliche of Asia, hardworking, persistence and emphasis on education, not to forget, high saving rate.

We have the means at the moment to make this a reality, we have enough talent pool, people confidence are high, and we have 2 econ superpowers (China and Japan) to anchor us thru this millenia.

Being a Malaysian, I always believe that Malaysia are blessed with natural resources, great mox of people and political stability (although you may argue that is not the case now). But in recent years, the country had experienced brain drain when their well trained manpower starts leaving the country in search of greener pasteur.

But I believe, this will not be long,as this people will eventually return to the homeland and serve the country that we love so much.

Maybe the wheel is turning, and once again, Asia will become the envy of the whole world.

Farewell and may Allah bless you my dear fren

3rd June 2009, my fren's last day in the office, he's moving to Abu Dhabi and starting a new job and adventure. Meeting this guy (my fren) is an eye opener for me. Came from a well heeled family background (his dad used to be the Partner at one of the big 4 audit firms in Kuala Lumpur), but, he's not an ordinary rich kid type of person.

  1. This guy is not interested in branded or expensive looking stuff like most people or most rich wannabe guys I've met.
  2. Always humble and for the last 5 years I know him, only now I know he's a son of a rich guy (and I know it from someone else)
  3. Being a son of a well connected dad would't give you any problem of getting a well paid job and position back in Malaysia, due to 'orang dalam' or some say 'cable' culture practiced in many organisation. But, this guy, with all due respect, is more willing to stand by his own feet thru the hard way and yes, he's well educated with good qualification.
  4. Drove a used Nissan Micra (Kancil) while workin here, not like some Melayu yg tergila nak pakai Mercedez, BMW or Audi while living in the UK, walaupun kerja actually kat embassy with taxpayers money and way below my fren's salary.
  5. Always volunteer to give sermon for our community Friday prayers and is active with the Muslim community activities in our area.
  6. Put barakah first whenever he looks for a new job.....of which most of us Muslim always forgot.....after all, we all live in a material world and that includes me.

All in all, you earn my highest respect, and knowing this guy is an eye opener to a meager person like me. It's good to know, in a world full of materialistic people and pop culture, such a person, so pure in his objective and aspiration still exist. May Allah bless you my fren and may the angel smile at you in your journey.

Media and newspaper: Political weapon or money making machines

We all live the age of info tech. Info; there are wrong info and there are also right and valuable. Truth should be the ultimate aim of every media, journalist and people like us when reading or observing a media instrument (newspaper, journal, tv, newsline etc). But this very essence of journalism seems to be lacking in the new age of info tech.

For example, in my homecountry, newspaper can simply be the instrument of communicating political propaganda, as oppose to giving the true and fair view of the current situation. Hence, when there's lack or scarcity of truth, people will move to other type of media instrument, say blogs.

But yet, we can't just simply read and believe what being written or told to us, because there's too much lies instead of truth being communicated. And yes friends, seek for the truth, as it remains as the most valuable commodity in the world of info tech which most people are simply too lazy to obtain.

Bullshit banking

  1. Money multiplier, the concept of bank can multiply cash supply in the market. Apa lah bangang punya concept, the flow of money thru the same number of people can create more supply of monies.
  2. Bank as a facilitator of 2 parties, one with deficit cash and another with surplus cash. Hence the credit risk part of lending is being taken care by the bank. Lagi satu concept bangang, instead of reducing the risk they are pricing the risk.
  3. Interest rate being used as an instrument in controlling demand for goods and consumption as well as managing inflation rate. In the first place, if interest rate does not exist, and time value of money is not a concept, we wouldn't be in this mess.
  4. Credibility of a customer being measured by his future income. Full of bullshit, how bout the person being sacked/retrenched, will there be any more future income? In fact, by measuring future income encouraged people to put more and more commitment by making larger loans from bank and this will of course push the price of properties as more and more people eager in buying expensive properties. Supply and demand theory.
  5. Conclusion: Banking system has created an illusion that money is a commodity and there is a price for money, which is determined by interest rate. But please ponder upon it, how can pieces of paper have any value, without gold or precious metal backing to support its value? Is this a plot by the superpowers to ensure prosperity upon their nation, as they already knew that, they are too lazy to produce real goods, but rather have a currency that most of the world population put their belief in and create an indices that can measure the prosperity and strength of their economy as well as managing the confidence of people. There's no real economy in play here, all of it are illusion, and from illusion they created their wealth. Enuff of bullshit banking.
