Hehehe, aku pun tak tau napa aku pilih tajuk nih. Napa kau tak pilih melayu dan hp ke, or melayu dan golf ke.....dan macam2 lagi...
Aku chat ngan kawan skolah aku kat ym tadi. Dia cakap ahh, ada sorang x-schoolmate yg selalu update status berkenaan sukan kegemaran yg dia main, golf. Menda ni mengingat kan aku, hari tu masa aku balik cuti jumpa ngan mamat golf nih ahh, and beberapa x-schoolmate aku, n diorang tanya aku whether aku main golf ker tak. Skang baru aku tau, rupa2nya diorang nih main golf. Hehehe, aku takat main cakar ayam ke, teng teng reti ahh. Kalau futsal tuh slalulah aku main, tapi golf.....hmmmmm....lum terpikir ahh, lagipun aku bukan mampu nak beli clubs, bola2 golf tuh, seluar petak2 ker, nak lagi best pakai panama hat masa main golf....hahahaha, tak terbayang aku.
Dulu yer, abang ipar aku main, masa tu pun aku skolah rendah, adalah kengkadang ikut dia gi club, belajar pukul2 skit, tak reti ahh aku. Maybe lum sampai kemampuan aku kot....hehehe, tapi to be honest, minat tu takde......n mmg tak mampu.
Masa kat mid east, ada client aku nih sheikh, one of the ruler son, pekerja stable dia ajak aku try polo kuda, ok gak, try jer ahh, sebab nak ada club sendiri tak mampu, n kat mesia raja2 jer main, tak silap aku ahh.....tp polo memenatkan....itu jer lah sedikit sebanyak aku try permainan org2 elitist, takat join2 camtu leh ahh, and aku definitely bukan golongan elit, jauh skali ahli kumpulan elit (girl band masa 90s)
Back to my main topic, napa melayu selalu terpikat ngan apa2 yg berkaitan ngan 'elit'.....ermhhh...tu yg buat aku terpikir...nak beli umah nak kat kawasan elit...nak skolah kat kawasan elit....sampai ada dulu girl band pun nama elite....hohohoho
Elitist, concept that was introduced by our previous penjajah, due to the class society yg ada kat UK time tuh, skang pun still ada. Class nih boleh dikesan dari segi accent (loghat), skolah depa cam Eaton....n cara berpakaian, cam dandy....
Selalunya elitist nih dikaitkan ngan golongan aristocrat (bangsawan).....hehehe, yg kat mesia nih aku rasa dah tak ramai, tapi ramai berangan nak jadi elitist tuh ada ahh.
Tak sure ahhh, tapi aku lebih prefer equality over monarchy.......and maybe betul kita masih terikut penjajah....semuanya nak elit.....maybe melayu nak try create their own classed society.....cam aku nih sah2 paling bawah dalam hierarchy.

Ahad yg slow.....
Pagi ni bangun kul 9.30, sbb malam tadi tido kul 2.40, wife suh tunggu subuh sebab masuk awal skang, langit cerah kul 4 pagi waktu musim panas.....aku layan game baru beli smalam, 'Prototype', cool gak....tapi ganas ler skit....
Bangun, makan bekfast, bancuh kopi.....lepak jap, gi jogging......cuaca kat luas cantik, sun shining, aku mmg suka summer, tapi my favourite season is spring...
Balik dari jogging lepak jap, gosok baju kerja untuk seminggu........pastu tgk tv, banyak betul reality tv skang nih....manusia nih dah boring kot, sampai hidupan harian pun nak buat kat tv....Aku teringat, kat mesia ada rancangan akademi fantasia, kalau balik mesia untuk cuti, selalu lah dalam paper2 terpampang participants dia. Dulu aku takde astro, umah kakak aku adalah, so diorang layan lah kot.....
Aku tgk, org kita mmg obses ngan rancangan nih, nangis mak bapak kalau anak2 dia kena voted out, impressive nih, kalau SPM kantoi takdelah emo sgt. Tu lah dia realiti kita skang nih...
It seems reality tv brings out the reality of our society....

Mesir....bumi anbiya dan firaun.....
Christmas 2005.
Sphinx dan the Great Pyramid (kiri), bumbung dalam Citadel Salahuddin Al Ayubbi (tengah) dan dalam Masjid Saidatina Fatimah Al Zahrah (kanan)
Lagi bumbung dalam Citadel Salahuddin (kiri), the Nile at dusk (tgh) dan tak lupa, gelek(kiri). Dalam dunia arab, tarian gelek paling authentic masih dikekalkan di Egypt, di mana penari2 masih berbangsa arab dan kalau tgk, pemuzik2 memainkan muzik masih secara live. Kalau kat tempat lain, contohnya UAE, Bahrain ataupun Turki, penari majoriti berbangsa Eropah Timur dan muzik tak lagi authentic, so guys, next time you wanna go for belly dancing performance, you know where to go, or ask, hahahaha.
Actually ni gambar2 lama aku pergi Mesir masa 2005. Masa tu wife tak ikut, aku ngan dua member aku pergi. Wife aku n wife sorang lagi member aku kat mesia time tuh, and considering aku nak backpacking, its gonna be a rough ride nak bawak wife skali. N before gi Mesir, aku dah janji ngan wife aku nak bawak dia gi Morocco, sebagai compensation.
Bumi anbiya nih mmg berjaya menarik ribuan pelancong saban tahun, disebabkan monumen2 berusia lebih ratusan dekad.
Kerajaan Mesir purba, berada di tahap kegemilangannya selama 3000 tahun, cukup panjang kalau nak dibandingkan ngan british empire 100 tahun dan US, kuasa besar dunia, 50 tahun. Lihatlah photo2 yg aku amik di bawah:
Elephantine temple (kiri), Valley of the Kings, aku lupa nama queen yg this temple was dedicated Hashepshut kot (tgh) dan Masjid Al Azhar (Kaherah).Lagi bumbung dalam Citadel Salahuddin (kiri), the Nile at dusk (tgh) dan tak lupa, gelek(kiri). Kitorang mengembara style backpackers for 10 days, stayed in cheap hotels and hostels, naik keretapi, belayar dan tidur atas Feluca (kapal layar tradisional sungai Nil, sejuk gila pada waktu malam).
Negara Mesir bukannya kaya pun, mmg byk untung dari industri pelancongan, tapi mismanagement left their people 40% live below poverty line. Jumpa jugak bebudak mesia kat Al Azhar, lepak n makan kat kedai siam, baik2 bebudak nih, syukur Allah bagi rezeki aku jumpa dgn diorang, semoga korang jadi ulama berjaya wahai sahabat.
Banyak lagi gambar aku masa kat Mesir, tapi letih lah plak nak upload.
My new used car.....
Sabtu 20 Jun 2009
- 9.30am- abis mandi, siap2 nak gi shopping grocerieswife dah ready lebih awal, biasalah aku, bangun2 on TV, on pc, baca paper layan ps3 seround dua, bekfast skit, baru mandi... hehhehehe.
- 9.45 am-gi tampal sticker insurance kat kereta kecik aku, sini kena tampal plak insurance punya stickers, wajib.
- 9.50am- start engine, bagi panas skit, pastu bertolak ke checkers (kira cam tesco/giant kat mesia). Dah ada kereta nih panjang skit langkah.
- Beli lah itu ini, dah lama tak pegi pasar besar, selalu gi pasar2 kecik je kat sini, sbb takde kereta, jauh, kena naik bus.
- Alhamdulillah, berjaya juga first trip ke pasaraya dgn kereta nih. Tgklah gambar kat bawah, kereta kecik jer, nak beli yg besar tak mampu satu hal, lagipun aku tak rasa practical untuk aku ngan wife pakai kereta besar.
Gambar kereta dari belakang, aku tgh panaskan engine. Wife yg amik gambar.
Checkers dari tempat park kereta, tulisan nampak sayup.
Tepi laut, kelihatan apartments yg menghadap laut. Ginilah perkampungan kecik tempat aku menetap, sebelum perjalanan lain dia masa depan insya Allah.

Has the centre of ecnomics powerhouse shifted??
10 years ago, when people starts talking the rise of the old power of China, everyone will shrugged with this possibility. Closed econ compounded with communist at the helm of the country, who might have thought they will in fact be the financier, of which, the western economy relying on as of today.
Mr Soros in his speech last year mentioned this century belongs to Asia. But wait folks, we should indeed play our role to make this a reality. Cliche of Asia, hardworking, persistence and emphasis on education, not to forget, high saving rate.
We have the means at the moment to make this a reality, we have enough talent pool, people confidence are high, and we have 2 econ superpowers (China and Japan) to anchor us thru this millenia.
Being a Malaysian, I always believe that Malaysia are blessed with natural resources, great mox of people and political stability (although you may argue that is not the case now). But in recent years, the country had experienced brain drain when their well trained manpower starts leaving the country in search of greener pasteur.
But I believe, this will not be long,as this people will eventually return to the homeland and serve the country that we love so much.
Maybe the wheel is turning, and once again, Asia will become the envy of the whole world.

Farewell and may Allah bless you my dear fren
3rd June 2009, my fren's last day in the office, he's moving to Abu Dhabi and starting a new job and adventure. Meeting this guy (my fren) is an eye opener for me. Came from a well heeled family background (his dad used to be the Partner at one of the big 4 audit firms in Kuala Lumpur), but, he's not an ordinary rich kid type of person.
- This guy is not interested in branded or expensive looking stuff like most people or most rich wannabe guys I've met.
- Always humble and for the last 5 years I know him, only now I know he's a son of a rich guy (and I know it from someone else)
- Being a son of a well connected dad would't give you any problem of getting a well paid job and position back in Malaysia, due to 'orang dalam' or some say 'cable' culture practiced in many organisation. But, this guy, with all due respect, is more willing to stand by his own feet thru the hard way and yes, he's well educated with good qualification.
- Drove a used Nissan Micra (Kancil) while workin here, not like some Melayu yg tergila nak pakai Mercedez, BMW or Audi while living in the UK, walaupun kerja actually kat embassy with taxpayers money and way below my fren's salary.
- Always volunteer to give sermon for our community Friday prayers and is active with the Muslim community activities in our area.
- Put barakah first whenever he looks for a new job.....of which most of us Muslim always forgot.....after all, we all live in a material world and that includes me.
All in all, you earn my highest respect, and knowing this guy is an eye opener to a meager person like me. It's good to know, in a world full of materialistic people and pop culture, such a person, so pure in his objective and aspiration still exist. May Allah bless you my fren and may the angel smile at you in your journey.
